Most days she loves suffocating herself against his chest, but today the smell threatens to steal the kill.

"It's coming from your pores!" Ew.

"I am no Harpocrates, but I do think that's where it comes from," he says. He rests his chin on the top of her head, like he might settle in for good. "Are you pungent enough to bathe with me, then?"

"Did you eat the carcass?" She teases. "I would bathe with you anyway, I think, to properly scrub you."

"I would enjoy that as much as I enjoyed nibbling on that monster."

He loosens his grip on her, but only slightly.

"You're quite the monster yourself right now. I might decide to nibble on you," she laughs, and though she might be able to slip away, she doesn't. "See what all the fuss is about."

He hums his agreement, ducking his head to the side to nuzzle into the side of her neck, nosing around her ear.

"What if I taste worse than I smell?"

She used to smell clean. There might be some remaining scent of soap left on her skin.

"I'll have to find a new man, I suppose."

Odd, how a year ago he’d suggested just that and ruined her joy for what had seemed like forever. Now she jokes so easily, and the sting he feels thinking about it is hidden by his face against the side of hers.

“I hope he isn’t bigger than I am.”

She nuzzles the side of her face against his. Nowadays she feels so comfortable and sure about what they have that she can joke, knowing he's the one.

"There would be the problem. No man can compare to you."

“Really,” he murmurs, and he withdraws to face her, just enough that their noses brush. “How much smaller do they run, you think?”

"Hmm. By half," she says, lifting her chin to bump their noses together. "I shouldn't be so quick to dismiss a man that was made for me."

“And I wouldn’t want my lady to be disappointed with only half what she is owed,” he says, both hands sliding down her back to rest on her ass.

"When you are everything I could ever want and then some," she says, squeezing him in her arms.

[rosarianoath]

He kisses her, deep and adoring, and as he does so he lifts her up to carry her with him right into the shower.

Jill meets his kiss with a happy sigh, only giving a small laugh when he lifts her.

"Oh. I was just about to carry you into the shower," she jokes.

He smells ripe.

"I'm sorry to have denied you the opportunity," he murmurs against her chin as he steps over the side of the tub, leaning his shoulder into the wall as he sets her down. It's still wet from her own bath, and neither of them are fully undressed, so he just tugs at her nightdress.

How she loves the way he paws at her. Jill pulls her nightdress off over her head, tossing it clear of the shower.

"Next time."

[rosarianoath]

"I'm looking forward to seeing you try," he says, hands roving up her body the moment she's rid of the dress, cupping her breasts with both hands.

"I think I can manage it."

Absolutely not. That she can move him at all in their bed is only because he humors her. Glancing down at his hands on her breasts, she reaches out with a cheeky smile to plant her hands on his chest. Ha.

He looks down at her hands, momentarily confused by the symmetry between them, and then chuckles under his breath. He looks her in the eyes with a matching smile.

"Now what do you think you'll do with those, my lady?"

She's just barely containing her laughter.

"Well... these are my pillows, sometimes," she says. "But here? The possibilities are endless."

But she just squeezes them.

"I'm surprised you'll touch them at all, sweaty as they are," he says, and he flexes them, just for her.

Jill's eyes light up as she laughs.

"Oh, I'll touch all of you, sweaty or bloodied or covered in guts."

[rosarianoath]

"I think I ought to take the last of my clothes off, then," he says, "so you can start in earnest."

[noburden]

"Please do. I should make sure you're washed properly."

Like the man can't do it himself.
